Our clan is an invite only clan, sorry. But don't be discouraged! Join the community to get started with us. How do you do this you ask? Simple. All you have to do is follow these simple steps and requirements and you should be in! As a community member you will gain access to special parts of the forums, as well as be eligible to join us in matches if enough clan members are unavailable.

A.) Register on our forums and start talking to us a little.
B.) Post under the community applications to show your interested and plan to join our community.
C.) Play in the server for a few weeks and post in the forums to give everybody a chance to get to know you.

Once you have completed these steps the WhyGame Clan members vote on every member accepted into the community. This decision is made by the Clan Members, Clan Captains, and Clan Leaders. We appreciate your interest in our clan, so please be patient with us and complete this process!

You will NOT receive admin access. If you need to have an admin help you then you get on AIM or X-Fire and ask them to ban the person. In a very unlikely situation were you cannot find an admin get the players steam id and post in the ban request forums in the community section.

Community captains are community members that have been with us for at least a month, and have proven to be a valuable member to WhyGame. Community captains are appointed by the WhyGame leadership at a time in which they feel you deserve the move up. Community Captains can take part in matches, and are given basic admin privileges in the game to help police the server. If you feel you are deserving of a Community Captain position, please contact a Leader to show your interest to move up.

Also, make a note: If you would like to move further up in WhyGame, we insist that this is your clan of choice. (Translation for the slow: You will not be advanced past the WhyGame community if you are in another clan besides whygame.)

Every once in a while we move community members and community leaders up to a clan position. Usually after playing with the clan for at least 1-2 months and proving to be a valuable player to the clan and community will a member be promoted to the clan. The process and requirements to move up are as follows:

A.) At least 1 month minimum playing time with the clan.
B.) Nomination by at least 1 member clan status or higher.
C.) Unanimous decision by all ACTIVE leadership members.

The clan members will be given more admin access on the game servers, as well as access to special clan forums. Clan members will be chosen first for all matches. Clan members also will be occasionally polled to help the leadership make decisions that require more opinions or thoughts on subjects such as community applications and such. Clan members are expected to follow all rules and represent whygame in the best manner possible at all times. Continuously breaking any of the clan bylaws or code of conduct may result in a suspension or a temporary demotion to community status.

To become a clan Capt. you must meet the following requirements:

A.) Must be a clan member for at least 1 month before a promotion will be considered (3 months preferred).
B.) Captains are nominated by at least one whygame leadership member, or at least one clan captain, or 4 regular members.
C.) Unanimous decision by all ACTIVE leadership members is required.

Clan captains have additional admin access to the game servers and will also be considered to help moderate certain message boards. Clan Captains may also be chosen to help run the WhyGame Draft team or any other PG or CAL team created. Captains must clear any major team changes with a leadership member. Captain positions are only obtained by unanimous voting of all whygame leadership. Only one nomination is required from either a leadership member or a clan captain, but the more you have the better chance you have. If you do not have a nomination from either a leader or a captain, you must have 4 regular clan members that support you in order for the leadership to even vote on it.

Clan Leadership has all final say on everything that is done within the clan. All promotions or rule changes are done by the leadership. Most voting will require only the Active leadership, meaning that a vote must be cast within 5 days of the start of a poll. If no more than 2 votes are cast, the vote is delayed. Clan leaders are appointed by the current leadership existing leadership. If a Clan Leader resigns it is up to the remaining leadership to appoint a new member to the position if they so choose. If you have a disagreement with a clan leader contact a different leader to discuss your issue(s).

Be sure to wear your corresponding tag whenever you play in the whygame servers so that people know who you are while in game. If your in community and your other clan's tag is on the same side of your name we will ask you to remove it and NOT combine tags. For example: player[clan] and player | wg-c

Admin access is a privilege, so do not abuse it. Admins suspected of abusing privileges will be warned, a second occurrence may result in a suspension or a demotion within the ranks. Please do not do this because we don't want to do this to you.

If you change any server settings for any reason the last admin to leave the game is responsible for changing them back. If settings are not replaced the last admin to leave the game and the admin who changed the settings will be warned. Second occurrence results in suspension of admin privileges.

WhyGame? Does NOT allow ANY forms of piracy due to liability issues and could result in permant ban from the Clan and Community if piracy is shared.

Although accusations are allowed, they should be handled privately with the Leaders of WhyGame. We have, over the past, now what.. 4 years, suspected a few members of WhyGame of using hacks and each and every one of these members where investigated both internally and some with the help of some non-WhyGame members. I believe most were cleared of any wrong doing and life went on without most of them ever knowing they were ever suspected of cheating. This is how the system should work. So, here's the following spelled out rules regarding this topic. This applies primarily to when Community members and above are suspected. 1. Record a demo of the alleged game play where a member may be using hacks.

2. Privately Message a Leader of your choice and tell what compeled you to believe said member may be using hacks and ask where to send the demo.

3. Get on with your life and enjoy your time at WhyGame.

4. DO NOT POST A MESSAGE IN ANY SECTION OF THE FORUMS REGARDING YOUR ASSUMPTION. Do not relay your assumption to other members through email, AIM, ICQ, Etc. Any slander either bonafied or not against another member may result in your removal from WhyGame. Use the chain of command given and if you are correct you will see a post from a Leader announcing that wg - thediscoveredhacker has been removed from the site and servers.

If you do not see an announcement after a few days then you know that 1) the member was completely exhonorated of your claim, or 2) that we the Leaders may feel personally that said member was using hacks but the demo did not yield any positive evidence to support it and we will continue to covertly monitor said member until we are sure they are either clean or indeed hacking. Members will always get the benefit of the doubt in the absence of positive proof.

He is also the kind provider of our game servers, website hosting, T1 line, and is the caretaker for the clan, community, and all that goes into it. He has 'veto' power over the leadership and can overrule any decisions he feels necessary to keep things peaceful. Respect the system administrator, because we could not do all of this without him!
